About COIN Re

Founder and CEO Ted Blanch envisioned a different course for the modern reinsurance industry. This vision led to the genesis of COIN Re. As an industry veteran, Ted saw opportunities for improvement in reinsurance brokerage relationships and transactions which led to the following predictions:
  • The reinsurance broking industry as it exists today will suffer the consequences of disintermediation
  • Disintermediation will result from the economic imbalance between frictional cost and value received by ceding clients
  • Brokers will continue to substitute value-added illusions rather than adequately addressing ceding clients’ needs
Reinsurance intermediaries spanning the globe operate through various forms of ownership while the reinsurance marketplace economy largely dictates pricing. With these prevailing factors as the norm, COIN Re cultivates a more client-centric business experience. An aggressive reinvigorated broking process, the opportunity for clients to own a majority share of the Company, and unbundled analytics as well as other services all come together providing a tailored and unique customer experience. Alongside a strong brokerage partner navigating the global reinsurance marketplace, expect favorable deals, advocacy, and peace of mind in the face of catastrophe. Welcome to COIN Re, where we listen to you.

At COIN Re our success will derive from extensive experience navigating global reinsurance markets. Our competitive advantage is our reinvigorated broking process, not an overreliance on analytics. By allowing clients to own part of the Company, COIN Re ensures mutually beneficial outcomes for our clients, associates and shareholders.
